I was sent this tidbit from SNOPES, which claims to be a fact-checking web site. And I have fount that they are actually correct the vast majority of the time, though they sometimes make a few errors here and there. Here are some images on the site after SNOPES was first asked about the subject in March of
2012. Here was the question posed:
Is this in fact a picture of the 17-year-old-student who was shot last month?

Snopes closes out their article on June 27, 2013, saying that as far as they know, these are the last two pictures of Trayvon. These were taken, supposedly, at his mothers birthday party 9 days before he was
shot and killed by George Zimmerman............
......................you make your own decision on whether or not the correct image of Trayvon was used in the mainstream media during the investigation and the trial...............................
