Smarter Every Day took a trip to the Amazon Rainforest and found an amazing cocoon in the rainforest. They describe this cocoon as Nature’s 3D Printer and that seems to be pretty accurate based on how it’s constructed. This type of cocoon is known as an “open-network cocoon” and very likely belongs to a moth in the family Urodidae. Filmed on location in the Rainforests of Eastern Peru on a tour run by Rainforest Expeditions. Nature never ceases to amaze me with it’s amazing creations.
