ESTES PARK, Colo. — A bar had a bear as a visitor in Estes Park.
Surveillance video captured a black bear walking into Lonigan’s Bar in the famous mountain town near Rocky Mountain National Park.
One of the owners of Lonigan’s, Debbie Callahan, says the bear paid his visit at about 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. They had the doors open because they don’t have air conditioning and the bear walked right into the back bar.
It’s estimated the six-foot bear weighs about 300 pounds.
A man who works at a nearby Comfort Inn saw the bear and helped get it out of Lonigan’s before it got to the front bar area. There were no injuries.
