DENVER — A new study flies in the face of what we’ve been told to do for a long time. It says we should not wash our raw poultry before cooking it.
The study finds that instead of making the chicken more safe and less likely to make anyone sick, washing it actually spreads the dangerous bacteria around our kitchens.
