********Slow Cooker Octoberfest**********
All the flavors of fall that will be ready for you when you come home. Just the way we like to do things at Project Gluten Free _ • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2" thick
• 2 onion, chopped
• 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
*can always by the pre-cut apples slices to save time
• 2 Tbsp brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt and pepper to taste
• 6 boneless 1" thick pork chops
• 15-oz can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
• Optional raisins, some fresh rosemary or sage to garnish
1. Place sweet potatoes and onions in bottom of 4-5 quart #slowcooker.
2. Top with apple slices.
3. In small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and pepper and pour in next.
4. Sear pork chops in skillet on HIGH heat for 3-4 minutes on each side to brown slightly & put in slow cooker next.
5. Last- dump in sauerkraut.
Cook on LOW for 6 hours or until pork chops are tender.
