Billionaire’s Ex-Wife Sells Brooklyn Property For $30 Million

Brooklyn Apartment

Galina Anissimova is the ex-wife of Russian billionaire Vasily Anisimov. She is selling her Brooklyn property for a massive $30 million.  The auspicious waterfront property boasts two limestone mansions, a pool and two docks for a yacht on Jamaica Bay. The $30 million price tag makes it the most expensive property on the market in the New York borough by a long way.

As well as the no-expense-spared quality finish in all aspects of the comple,x there is also a guest house and an outdoor pavilion with a kitchen. The main house, which was designed by Noel Jeffrey, features a Lalique fireplace, a meditation room, and views of the water from every room in the house.

The property which was built in 1989 by car dealer John Rosatti, has 10 bedrooms and an astounding 15 bathrooms. The property was originally extended by Rosatti who excavated tidal wetlands and then filled them with landfill.

Anissimova bought the property in 1996 for $3.7 million and then remodeled it by purchasing the adjacent property and building the massive 8,200-square-foot quest house.  Anissimova’s broker for the property sale, James Cornell, said about the mansion: “It’s perfect. It’s the highest quality everything I’ve ever seen in 24 years in the business.”

The inside of the property is finished in cream and beige tones with the very best marble floors and white ceilings. Anissimova is reportedly selling the estate as she spends most of her time in Florida. She plans to buy a small pied-a-terre in Manhattan for when she visits New York.

Anna Anissimova, Galina’s daughter, has been called the “Russian Paris Hilton” after she listed an apartment last year in Manhattan with a price tag of $50,000. It was later removed from the market and she didn’t end up selling.
