400-Pound Running Back: Is Tony Picard The Biggest In The World?

http://youtu.be/EM6eSt-bxpw

As you can see from the video above, Tony Picard is as big as they come, both in height and weight. The Bone-shaking 400-pound running back is six foot five, agile and as tough as an ox.

The White Swan High (Yakima) senior may not be the fastest or most nimble player on the field, but as you can see for yourself that doesn’t matter when you have brute force, weight and height behind you.

Coach Andrew Bush spoke to Indian Country Today about the Native-American powerhouse on his team: “It’s so much fun to have him go out [on the field] as a captain and see him shaking hands before the game. They’re just kind of staring, like ‘Oh my gosh, you’ve got to be kidding me!’”

Tony Picard isn’t the only huge player to have the defense trembling though. Kealakehe High had a player called Fangupo who was an astounding 350 pounds and measured six foot two.

Picard is part Umatilla-Nez Perce Indian and part Sioux which could account for his strong genes. Busted Coverage gives the player 576 yards and 8 touchdowns this season whereas another site claims he has more than 700 yards and 15 touchdowns.

According to Coach Bush, it usually takes at least five defensive linesmen to bring the 400-pound running back down before he trundles to the touchline:

“Most teams will sacrifice five guys to stop him: four linemen and a middle linebacker. That leaves three guys on each side to stop the rest of our team. Everything else opens up: our outside running, our play action, and our entire passing game. We average about 450 yards as a team offensively,” he said.

Either way the 400-pound running back, Tony Picard, is a force to be reckoned with, and is one that all football fans should be looking at closely.
