Have Brussels Sprouts For Supper

Oven Seared Brussels Sprouts

Submitted by: LANC92

Our favorite way to eat brussels sprouts! The oven sears them to the point where they start to release a sweetness. Yummy!

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    2 cups fresh brussels sprouts

1 T olive oil, plus a smidge for wiping pan
    1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Wipe a 9x13 metal pan with olive oil, set aside.

Trim and cut each brussels sprout in half. Put in a large bowl and toss with 1 T olive oil and salt.

Place each brussels sprout in pan, cut side down. Roast uncovered in oven for approximately 20 minutes. Sprouts will be golden color.

(another version-- use slightly more olive oil, add in a melted tablespoon or two of butter and a clove or two of garlic minced--alexis)
