Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus’ constant presence in headlines has led to a new accolade they may not appreciate, “Worst Role Models For Kids.”
The uber pop pair recently topped the third annual Best & Worst Role Models for Kids poll hosted by the folks over at What To Do With The Kids, a website for parents looking for activities for their children.
What a difference a year makes.
Back in 2011 and 2012 Justin was voted the top role model for boys at the same site. Since then, the 19-year-old’s on and off Believe tour exploits — smoking pot (there’s no need to say allegedly now post Between Two Ferns), that mop bucket, paparazzo run-ins, and an array of allegations — have powered the “Baby” star to the No. 1 position on the bad boy list.
In the Y chromosome corner, Miley Cyrus’ topless, twerking, “Molly”/weed endorsing and, latterly, mental health mocking antics have catapulted the 20-year-old from the No. 5 slot on the worst role model list to the top of the league.
Joining Justin and Miley on the naughty step are rapper cum ranter Kanye West, Chris Brown, and disgraced sportsman Lance Armstrong. Male rappers as a whole made number five on the worst role model list, which is perhaps an indication of this poll’s demographic.
